upcycled to perfection

So while I was organizing my fabrics, I came across some of these placemats I got at Pier 1 Imports, the only reason being that I loved the linen "vintage" print. I knew I wanted to make something with them, so I decided to make a clutch with it. What do you guys think?

I love fun prints. I think they can really speak for themselves!

a girl can dream, can't she?

I absolutely LOVE Anthropologies!! I get their magazines every couple weeks in the mail and I sit their and savor it. I wish I was made of a million bucks! I girl can dream can't she? I adore the eclectic and random and uniqueness of the store. I always had to go in and look around when I am near one. I always see things in there, and I think, "why didn't I think of that"? Well I will keep window shopping for now.

what's a cook to do?

OK, So I love to cook! I can't help it. Well imagine my surprise when I see these fun little pretties on the the front page of Etsy, My want button was instantly pushed. I spent alot of time looking at the recipe cards, wishing and wanting and wishing some more. Finally I was called away by my mischievous little children and I was soon thrust back into the whirlwind that I call my life :)
I would always remember the recipe cards at random times, but when I went to find them they were gone. I was so mad at myself for not "hearting" the item, I always do that. So it just happens, that I decided to try again today, and as you can guess, I found them. I was so excited! You can find these pretties on Etsy at 1canoe2! It is such a great little shop! This set comes with 40 handprinted recipe cards and 7 dividers.

Anyways, I immediately told my hubby that I wanted these little pretties for Mothers Day, he then went on to ask me when that was. Of course, I smacked him. He favorited them and I can't wait to get them. I am always finding new recipes and writing on scraps of paper or reciepts. I just wanted to share these with you guys.! I hope you come to enjoy them as much as I do.
